Charges that flow to owners
Finished jobs on owner rooms bill to the owner automatically. Anything needing a decision parks in a queue, and zero-value work is written off, never billed.
When your team spends an afternoon fixing something on an owner's room, that work shouldn't come out of your pocket — or vanish into a note you meant to add to the spreadsheet. In Accommador, finished jobs on owner rooms can be billed to the owner automatically, and anything that needs a human decision is parked where you can see it.
From job to charge
Work is done as a task — a repair, a maintenance job, a deep clean — with billing lines that price what the job charges; see bill task work. When a finished job is billed to the owner, a charge lands on that owner's ledger: the job, the room, the date and the amount. It then appears as a deduction on their next statement. Billing runs automatically each night over completed jobs, and you can bill an individual job immediately rather than waiting.
What the owner sees — and what stays yours
The owner sees the charge side: what was done, where, when, and for how much — with photos of the work on their own page. What the job cost you, and your margin on it, are yours alone; they never appear on a statement or the owner's page.
The exceptions queue
Some jobs need a decision before money moves. The room has no owner recorded. It isn't clear whether the guest or the owner should pay. The job's billing lines don't fit the room it was done on. Rather than guessing — or billing silently — these park in a queue under Accounting → Task Billing, each with the reason it's waiting and a preview of what it would charge. You resolve them by answering the question, usually "who pays this?" — the guest, the owner, or no one — and billing then proceeds on its own.
Zero-value work is written off, not billed
A finished job that prices to nothing — a check that found nothing to fix, or work you chose not to charge for — is written off rather than billed. No zero-dollar lines ever appear on an owner's statement, and the write-off is recorded on the job's history, so you can always see it was considered rather than forgotten.
Fixing a mistake
Charged something to the wrong owner, or shouldn't have charged at all? A charge can be voided at any point before it's been issued on a statement, and a voided charge never appears anywhere the owner looks.
