Give your team access
Settings → Users is the roster of everyone with access to Accommador — give each person a role, limit them to certain properties, and switch access off when they leave.
Settings → Users is the one place to see everyone with access to your Accommador account and decide what each person is allowed to do. One list, one role per person, and a couple of guardrails that stop anyone — including you — from locking the account out.
The roster
Everyone with a sign-in on your account appears on the list automatically, including people who haven't signed in yet — so you can set a new starter's role before their first day. The very first time you open the page, Accommador also sets up the built-in roles for your account on its own; there's nothing to install or configure first.
Giving someone their role
- Open Settings → Users and find the person on the list.
- Open their entry and choose a role — one of the built-in roles, or a custom role you've made.
- If you run more than one property, decide whether they see all of them or only some. See limiting a person to certain properties.
A sensible starting point is applied at each person's first sign-in: administrators on your account start as Property Admin (the everything role), and everyone else starts as Read-only — the lowest rung, so nobody gets more than you meant to give. From there, set the role you actually want. A role you've assigned deliberately sticks: signing in again never resets it.
Access can differ per property
A person's role says what they can do; their property limit says where. The same housekeeper can be limited to one property while your manager sees all of them — the two settings are independent, and both live on the person's entry.
The guardrails
- You can't deactivate yourself, and you can't take away your own ability to manage users — so an account can never lock itself out, and there's always someone who can manage access.
- Administrators on your account always keep user management. Accommador restores it at every sign-in, so assigning an administrator a lesser role won't hold — it refuses the change and tells you why. To narrow an administrator's access, change their account role first.
When someone leaves
Don't delete — deactivate. Their access ends immediately, their history stays, and you can switch them back on if they return. See when someone leaves.
Troubleshooting
Someone new isn't on the list
The list shows everyone with a sign-in on your account. If they're not there yet, they don't have a sign-in yet — once they do, they appear automatically, ready to be given a role.
A person says they can't do something their job needs
Check their role first, then their property limit. If the built-in role is close but not quite right, clone it and adjust — see custom roles.
