Limit a person to certain properties
On multi-property accounts, scope a person to just the properties they work at. No limit means they see all of them — including ones you add later.
If you run more than one property from one Accommador account, not everyone needs to see everything. The housekeeper at one property has no business in another's bookings; a part-owner may only be entitled to their own. A property limit scopes a person to just the properties they work at.
How the limit works
By default a person has no limit: they see every property on the account, including any you add later. To narrow that, open the person under Settings → Users and pick the property — or properties — they should have. From then on they work only within those.
The limit is a where, and their role is a what — the two are independent. A Front Desk role limited to one property takes bookings at that property; the same role with no limit takes bookings everywhere. See the built-in roles.
What a scoped person sees — and doesn't
Within their properties, a scoped person sees whatever their role allows: those properties' calendars, bookings, tasks and reports. Everything belonging to a property outside their limit simply isn't theirs to work with.
One consequence worth knowing: managing users is an account-wide job, so it needs account-wide access. A person limited to certain properties can't administer your users, whatever their role says — keep user management with someone who has no property limit.
Getting it right
- Leave managers unlimited. Anyone who genuinely works across the whole account — you, a general manager, your bookkeeper — is simpler and safer with no limit, and they'll automatically pick up new properties as you grow.
- You can't limit someone to nothing. An empty property list is refused, because it's indistinguishable from a mis-click that would silently cut a person off. If someone should have no access at all, deactivate them instead — see when someone leaves.
- Review limits when properties change. Add a property and your unlimited people see it immediately, but scoped people don't — widen anyone who should work there too.
Troubleshooting
Someone can't see a property they work at
Open their entry and check their property limit — the property is probably not on their list. Add it and they see it straight away.
A person's property limit won't save
Their list includes a property that has since been removed from the account. Re-pick the limit from the current properties and save again.
Can one person have different roles at different properties?
No — a person holds one role, applied across whichever properties they can see. If two properties genuinely need different powers for the same person, a custom role shaped to cover both jobs is the practical answer.
