Closest-date search: no more dead ends
When a guest's dates don't fit, your booking page offers the nearest dates that do — with prices — instead of a dead-end 'no availability' message.
A guest who hears "no availability" doesn't try different dates — they open the next tab and book somewhere else. Your booking page never leaves a guest at that dead end. When the dates they ask for can't be booked, it offers the nearest dates that can, with real prices, one click from booked.
What guests see instead of a dead end
A guest's dates can miss for a few reasons: the stay is shorter than your minimum, they've picked an arrival day you don't accept, or the room is simply already taken. Whatever the reason, each room on the results page shows its own nearest bookable alternatives — up to three, each with the actual price for that stay. They're ranked by how close they are to the dates the guest asked for, with price breaking ties, so the first suggestion is always the smallest possible compromise. The guest clicks one and carries on booking.
Every date stays clickable
If your property runs on set stay lengths and arrival days — houseboats with Friday check-ins, apartments with weekly changeovers — the calendar still lets guests pick any date. There's no wall of greyed-out squares to puzzle over. The guest chooses the date they had in mind, and if it doesn't fit your rules, the page immediately shows the closest stays that do. The guest never has to work out your changeover rules for themselves — the page does it for them.
Why this wins bookings other pages lose
Most guests are more flexible than their first search suggests. Someone who asked for Saturday to Tuesday will very often take Friday to Monday — if taking it is one click. A page that only says no makes the guest do the hunting, and most won't: they'll hunt on someone else's page instead. Yours does the hunting for them, using your live availability and your real prices, so the alternative it offers is genuinely bookable at the price shown.
The same safety net sits behind your featured stay periods: if a guest taps a period that's since sold out, they get the nearest alternatives rather than a shrug.
Nothing to set up
Closest-date search is built in and always on. It reads the same availability and prices as the rest of your booking page, so there's nothing to configure and nothing to keep in sync. If you haven't taken your page live yet, start with switch on your booking page.
