Use your own domain for your booking page

Your booking page always has an Accommador address that just works. But it can also live on your own domain — an address like book.yourproperty.com.au — so the whole journey, from your website to the payment step, stays under your brand.

Why it's worth doing

Two reasons. Guests trust an address that matches the website they came from — book.yourproperty.com.au reads as yours in a way a generic address never quite does. Setting it up

1. Open Distribution → Booking Engine, go to the General tab, and find the custom domain setting.
2. Enter your chosen address and save. It needs to start with "book." — book.yourproperty.com.au, book.yourhotel.co.nz.
3. The card then shows you exactly two records to add with your domain provider — the place you manage yourproperty.com.au. Copy each one precisely as shown.
4. Wait for the status badge on the card to flip to live. Domain changes can take a little while to spread across the internet, so give it time.

That's your whole share of the work: two records, copied exactly. Accommador handles everything else — including the security certificate for the new address, which is issued automatically and keeps renewing itself, so your page always shows the padlock with nothing for you to maintain.

The default address always works

Setting a custom domain doesn't retire the built-in one. Your Accommador booking address keeps working alongside it, so links you've already shared don't break, and if your domain provider ever has a bad day you still have an address that takes bookings. You can copy the current public address any time from the Preview tab.

Once the custom domain is saved, Accommador uses it everywhere it publishes your booking address — the widget snippet and your website's Book now links pick it up, so you don't chase old addresses around your site.

Troubleshooting

The status hasn't gone live yet

First, patience — new records can take from minutes to a day or so to spread. If it's been longer, check both records against the card character by character; a stray space or a record added at the wrong name is the usual culprit. And the surest test is simply opening your booking address in a browser: if your page loads there, guests can book on it.

Do I have to use a custom domain?

No. The built-in address is a perfectly good booking page. A custom domain is a polish-and-tracking upgrade, not a requirement — plenty of operators start without one and add it when they start advertising.
