Book-now buttons that always point to the right place

A Book now button pointing at an old or dead address costs real bookings, and it's the kind of thing nobody notices until a guest complains. If your website is built with Accommador's website builder, you don't manage those links by hand: publish your booking page's address once, and every Book now button follows it from then on.

How it works

Buttons on your Accommador-built pages don't carry a typed-in address. They link through a shared link value, and Accommador keeps that value pointed at your live booking page. When something that affects the address changes — you take your booking page live, or you set a custom booking domain — the published links move with it in the same save. Set book.yourproperty.com.au today and every Book now button on your site uses it today, with no page-by-page editing and no hunt for the one button you forgot.

The Website booking links card

You'll find it at the top of the Widgets tab at Distribution → Booking Engine. It lists every booking link your account publishes, with the address each one currently carries and a status beside it — so you can see at a glance what your website's buttons resolve to right now.

Each row also shows the small link code the buttons use, with a copy button. When you build a new page or add your own button in the website builder, paste that code in as the button's link — the button then follows your booking address forever, instead of freezing whatever the address happened to be that day.

More than one property

If your account runs several properties, your main property's page is the primary link — the one plain Book now buttons use — and each additional property gets its own numbered link, with the property's name shown beside it so you always know which is which. The card covers your whole account, so it shows the same list whichever property you're looking at.

If one property's booking page is later switched off, buttons that pointed at it are re-pointed to your main booking page rather than left leading nowhere — a spare button that reaches your main page beats a broken one every time.

Publish now

Updates happen automatically whenever a link-affecting setting changes, so most operators never touch this. The Publish now button on the card is the manual push for the odd occasion you want the current values sent again right away.

Troubleshooting

The card shows an old property name

Property names refresh when a link next changes, so a rename can lag behind. Press Publish now and the name catches up.

The card says nothing is published yet

Your booking page isn't live yet — the links only publish once there's a working page to point at. Start with switch on your booking page.
