See which ads earn bookings
Match real bookings back to the Google or Meta ad that drove them, in your own accounts — each booking counted once, so your numbers match the bank.
If you spend money on Google or Meta ads without knowing which ones produce bookings, you're guessing with your marketing budget. Your booking page reports every confirmed booking back to your own Google Analytics, Google Ads and Meta accounts, matched to the click that started it — so "which ads pay for themselves?" gets answered with your real bookings, not hunches.
What gets reported
Each confirmed booking from your booking page is recorded as a purchase, with its value, against the campaign and ad that brought the guest in. The reporting is deliberately belt-and-braces: the booking is reported from the guest's browser and again from Accommador's side, so it still lands when browser privacy settings — Safari and iPhones especially — or ad blockers get in the way of the usual tracking. The two reports carry the same booking reference, so each booking is counted exactly once. That's the detail that keeps your ad reporting honest: the revenue your ad platforms show matches the money that actually arrived. Refunds flow through to Google Analytics as well, so a cancelled sale doesn't sit inflating your numbers.
Connecting Google
- Open Distribution → Booking Engine and go to the Analytics tab.
- Paste in your Google Analytics Measurement ID and API secret — the in-tab guide shows where in Google Analytics to find both.
- Follow the guide's remaining steps, including listing your payment provider in Google Analytics' unwanted-referrals setting so the payment step doesn't steal the credit from your ad.
- Use Send test event, then confirm the test purchase shows up in Google Analytics.
For Google Ads, link your Google Analytics property to your Google Ads account, mark the purchase as a key event, and import it as a conversion. From then on your Google Ads campaigns report real bookings and real revenue, and return on ad spend is calculated from money you actually took.
Connecting Meta
On the same Analytics tab, paste in your Meta Pixel ID and a Conversions API access token from your Meta account, and use Send test event to confirm the connection. Bookings then appear as purchases in your Meta reporting — one per booking, counted even when the guest's browser blocks the usual pixel — so Facebook and Instagram campaigns get judged on bookings, not clicks.
Serve the page on your own domain
For the trail from ad click to booking to survive intact, your booking page should live on your own domain — book.yourproperty.com.au rather than the built-in address — and your ads should land guests there. See use your own domain. Bookings that start from the widget on your website carry their attribution through to checkout the same way.
If you only keep a share of the room price
Managing rooms for owners and keeping, say, 35% of each sale? Set the conversion value share on the Analytics tab to your percentage, and the value reported to Google and Meta is scaled to match — a $1,000 booking reports $350. Your return-on-ad-spend figures then reflect what you actually earn, instead of flattering the ads with revenue that was never yours.
