Connect Xero

Connect Accommador to your Xero organisation in a couple of minutes — and stay connected, with no re-logins, while invoices and payments flow across on their own.

Connect Accommador to Xero once and the books largely do themselves: invoices raised at check-out, payments landing in the right bank accounts, and deposits kept separate from money you've actually earned. This guide covers making the connection; the setup wizard then walks you through telling Accommador where each kind of money belongs.

Before you start

Have your Xero login to hand. The connection itself takes a couple of minutes; set aside a clear half hour if you plan to work straight through the account setup as well. Nothing else in Accommador waits on this, so it's fine to do it after you've gone live.

Connect to Xero

  1. Go to Accounting → Xero → Settings.
  2. In the connection panel, choose to connect to Xero. A Xero sign-in window opens.
  3. Sign in with your Xero account if you aren't already.
  4. Xero shows what Accommador is asking to do — work with invoices and transactions, contacts, and settings. If you belong to more than one Xero organisation, pick the one this property's books live in, then allow the access.
  5. The window closes itself and the settings page shows you as connected, with your organisation's name and the connection date.

What the connection does from then on

You stay connected

Once connected, you're connected for good. Accommador quietly renews its access in the background, so a quiet month or an off-season won't ask you to sign in to Xero again. If you ever want to check the link is healthy, the settings page can run a live test against your Xero organisation. And if something on the Xero side does break the connection, you'll see a clear prompt — the fix is a two-minute reconnect, covered in fix a Xero connection problem.

Troubleshooting

I manage more than one property — do they share the connection?

Properties that live in the same Accommador account share one Xero connection and one organisation. Sign in once and it covers all of them.

Can I disconnect?

Yes — the settings page has a disconnect option, with a confirmation step so you can't do it by accident. Reconnecting later is the same short flow as connecting the first time.
