List what you rent out, and the dates you'll take

Stage 2 is the big one, and it's two lists plus one date range. Until all three are done, Accommador can't tell a guest what's free, can't take a booking, and can't put anyone in a particular room. Set aside about an hour and do it in one sitting — the three screens sit next to each other under Distribution → Channel Manager.

First list: the kinds of room you sell

A room type is what a guest sees and books: a name, what it sleeps, and what a night costs. You need at least one. Prices live here — you price the kind once, not each room separately. If you sell five identical queen rooms, that's one room type.

Second list: your real rooms

Then your actual rooms, units or boats — one entry each, attached to the kind it belongs to. This is what makes availability real: the number of rooms attached to a kind is exactly how many of that kind Accommador can sell for any night. It's also what the calendar shows, and where each guest ends up. The dates you'll take

Finally, how far ahead you'll accept bookings — either a fixed range of dates, or a rolling window that always covers the next so-many days. Set this deliberately: without it, your booking page treats every date as open for sale, and you can be booked for dates you never agreed to. Why one sitting

These three pieces only work together. Room types with no rooms attached can't be sold; rooms without a booking window have no dates to be sold on. Finishing the stage in one go means the moment you switch your booking page on, what a guest sees is true.

Troubleshooting

I've added room types but the board still shows this stage incomplete

The stage checks all three pieces: at least one kind of room, at least one real room attached to a kind, and a saved booking window. Whichever is missing is the one holding the stage open — the board lists them separately so you can see which.

How many rooms of each kind should I add?

As many as you really have. That count is what's for sale each night, so an entry too few undersells you and an entry too many oversells you.

Every unit I rent is different — do I still need room types?

Yes, and it's simple: give each one-of-a-kind unit its own type with one room attached. Three different houseboats are three types, one boat each.
