Start from your website: pre-fill your property

Paste your website's address and Accommador drafts your property details from it — you check and confirm every field before anything is saved.

If your property already has a website, you don't have to type your details in twice. On the property setup form, paste your website's address and Accommador reads the page and fills in what it can. Nothing is saved until you've checked it and chosen to save.

How it works

  1. On the setup form, find the Have a website already? line above the fields and paste your website's address. It needs to start with https://.
  2. Click the fill-in button. Accommador opens the page and reads what it plainly states.
  3. Fields you haven't filled yet are filled in, each marked From your website — check this. Anything you've already typed is never overwritten.
  4. Check and correct every marked value. The marker disappears the moment you edit a field — it means “we filled this and you haven't touched it yet”.
  5. Save. If the currency, country or time zone came from your website and you haven't touched them, a final dialog states all three back to you first — because the currency is permanent, and those three deserve to be read aloud once before they're locked in. See Currency, time zone and property type.

What it can and can't fill

It fills the setup form's own fields from what your site states plainly — your property's name, where it is, its time zone and currency, and the kind of place it is. It deliberately doesn't guess: if the address couldn't be opened, or the page holds too little readable text to be sure, you get an honest message and the form is left exactly as it was. Your description and photos aren't part of this step — you add those later in the property editor.

You confirm everything

Reading your website never saves anything by itself. Every value it proposes just sits in the form for you to check, the same as if you'd typed it — the only thing that creates your property is you choosing to save it.

From the setup assistant

You can also do this through the setup assistant: mention that you already have a website and it offers to read it, states the important values back to you, and gives you a button through to the form where the draft is waiting to be checked.

Troubleshooting

It says it couldn't read enough — is something wrong?

No. Some websites carry very little text a reader can actually pull out — pages that are mostly pictures, for instance. Accommador tells you rather than guessing. If your site has a page with your details written out (a contact or about page often is), try that page's address — or just type the details in below; it's a ten-minute form either way.

It filled in a value that's wrong

That's exactly what the markers are for. Correct the field — the marker disappears — and carry on. Nothing is saved until you save.
