Connect a booking site
Where booking-site connections live, the general shape of connecting one, and what has to happen on the site's side before it goes live.
Connecting a booking site links what you sell in Accommador to what that site lists. Once a site is connected, your availability, prices and stay rules flow out to it automatically, and its bookings flow back onto your calendar.
Before you connect
A connection maps your room types to the rooms the site sells, so have your room types set up and your prices in the grid first. It also pays to have your booking window set, so a new site can only sell dates you've agreed to take.
Where connections live
Open Distribution → Channel Manager. The channels screen shows every site you're connected to, and it's where you add a new one.
The shape of every connection
The details differ site by site, but the shape is always the same:
- Choose the site you want to sell through.
- Map your rooms. Match each of your room types and price plans to the room and rate the site lists. This mapping is what routes everything afterwards — availability and prices out, bookings in — so take a moment to get it right.
- Accept the connection on the site's side. Every booking site has its own control panel, and the connection has to be approved or switched on there as well. Until both sides agree, nothing flows.
- Go live. Once the connection is active, Accommador keeps the site's availability, prices and stay rules up to date, and the site's bookings land on your calendar automatically.
Every site is a little different
Airbnb, Booking.com, Expedia, Agoda and the rest each use their own names for things, and each asks for slightly different steps on its own side. If you're unsure about a particular site, talk to support — we'll walk you through that site's specifics rather than have you guess.
FAQ
Do I have to connect every site at once?
No. Connect one, watch a booking or two flow through, then add the next. Every connected site draws from the same calendar, so adding more sites never risks a double booking.
What should I check after connecting?
That the site is showing the availability and prices you expect, and that a new booking made on the site appears on your calendar. If either looks wrong, the room mapping is the first thing to re-check.
