When Accommador flags a conflict

What it means when Accommador flags a conflict on a booking, where to review it, and how to choose which version of a detail to keep.

Very occasionally, you and a booking site change the same detail of the same booking at almost the same moment — you correct a guest's phone number at the desk while the guest edits it on the site. When that happens, Accommador applies the change and flags the booking so you can confirm which version is right. That flag is a conflict.

What a conflict is — and isn't

A conflict is only raised when both sides touch the same detail within about a minute of each other, so there's genuinely no way to know which version was meant to win. Changes made minutes apart aren't conflicts — the later one simply applies, in order, like any other update.

Most changes can never conflict at all, because each side owns different details. The booking site is the authority on guest details, dates and price for its bookings; your notes, payments and check-in status are yours alone (see who owns which details). And bookings from your own booking page or front desk have only one author — Accommador — so they're filtered out entirely. In practice most operators see a conflict rarely, and false alarms are filtered before they reach you.

Where flagged conflicts appear

A booking with an unresolved conflict carries a warning marker on the calendar, and the conflicts page in your admin area lists every conflict with its status, searchable by booking reference. A count of unresolved conflicts is shown, so you can see at a glance whether anything is waiting on you.

Reviewing and resolving one

  1. Open the conflict from the calendar marker or the conflicts page.
  2. For each detail in question you'll see both versions side by side — the value held in Accommador and the value the site sent, each with when it changed.
  3. Choose per detail: keep Accommador's value, take the site's value, or type in the correct value yourself if neither is right.
  4. Apply the resolution. The booking is updated with your choices and the warning is cleared.

If the flag turns out not to matter — both versions amount to the same thing — you can dismiss the conflict instead of resolving it detail by detail.

FAQ

Is the booking blocked while it's flagged?

No. The booking stays live, holds its room and carries the most recent values; the flag is a prompt to double-check, not a lock.

Do I need to check the conflicts page routinely?

No. The calendar marker will point you at anything that needs a decision — an empty conflicts page is the normal state.
