How availability is worked out

Availability — how many rooms of each kind are for sale on each date — is never a number you type into Accommador. It's worked out, automatically, from things you already manage: your rooms, your bookings and any dates you've blocked out. That one design decision is why you can't sell the same night twice.

The sum, in plain words

For every room type and every date, Accommador counts:

• how many rooms of that kind you have, minus
• the bookings staying that night, minus
• any rooms blocked out for that date — for maintenance, an owner's stay, or simply off the books.

What's left is what every connected site is allowed to sell. It never goes below zero.

What counts as taking a room

Confirmed bookings, holds awaiting payment and guests who are checked in all take a room for their nights. A no-show keeps holding its room until you cancel the booking. A cancelled booking hands its nights back immediately — they go on sale again everywhere without you doing anything.

Departure days sell again: a stay from the 1st to the 3rd takes the nights of the 1st and 2nd, so another guest can arrive on the 3rd.

Every change updates every site

Any change to the inputs — a new booking from any site or your own page, a cancellation, a moved stay, a room added — updates the worked-out availability, and the correction reaches every connected site within seconds. As a safety net, Accommador also re-sends the full picture to every site overnight, so even a hiccup on a site's side is corrected within a day.

The booking window bounds it

Dates outside your booking window are shown as unavailable on every site, no matter how many rooms are physically free. The window is how you decide how far ahead you're open for business.

Why this means no double bookings

Every site — and your own booking page — sells from this one worked-out pool. The moment a night is taken anywhere, the pool shrinks everywhere. There's no second copy of your availability to drift out of date, which is exactly how double bookings happen with systems that are updated by hand.

Taking dates off sale

Because availability is worked out rather than typed in, you don't edit the number itself — you change the things it's worked out from.
