What happens when a booking arrives from a booking site
From a guest clicking Book on a booking site to a booking on your calendar — room, guest record, commission and availability all handled for you.
A guest clicks Book on Airbnb or Booking.com, and moments later the booking is on your calendar — guest, dates, price and the site's confirmation code, with nothing typed in. Here's the whole arrival, from your side of the desk.
It lands on your calendar
New bookings from a connected site appear within moments, under the room type the guest booked. If you've switched on automatic room assignment, the booking is placed straight into a free room in your preferred order; otherwise it waits in the unassigned lane for you to drag onto a room. See how rooms are assigned.
Every other site steps back
The nights just sold come off sale on every other connected site — and your own booking page — within seconds, so the same room can't be sold twice. How availability is worked out explains why this is automatic rather than something to remember.
The guest joins your guest database
The guest's details are added to your guest records, matched by email address so a returning guest updates their existing record instead of creating a duplicate. That's what makes guest history and your check-in flows work without re-typing anything. You can also message guests from booking sites without leaving Accommador.
Commission is recorded
The commission the site charges is recorded against the booking, so your reports can show revenue net of it — what you actually keep, not just what the guest paid. Over time that's how channel production reporting shows you which sites earn their commission and which don't.
Changes and cancellations flow the same way
When the guest amends the booking on the site — new dates, an extra guest, updated contact details — the booking on your calendar updates automatically. A cancellation made on the site cancels the booking here and hands its nights straight back to every site. You never need to copy a change across by hand.
Who owns which details
For a booking from a site, the site is the authority on the guest's details, the dates and the price — those stay in step with what the site holds. Everything operational is yours and is never overwritten: your notes, payments recorded, check-in and check-out, room and housekeeping status. On the rare occasion both sides change the same detail at almost the same moment, Accommador flags it for you to review — see when Accommador flags a conflict.
FAQ
A booking hasn't appeared — how long should I wait?
Bookings usually land within moments, and a background sweep picks up anything missed, so a slow one normally arrives within a few minutes on its own. If it's still missing after that, talk to support.
