Reply to booking-site guests from your inbox
Messages from guests who booked through Airbnb, Booking.com or Expedia land in your Conversations inbox, and your replies go back to where the guest is looking.
Guests who book through Airbnb, Booking.com or Expedia usually message through that site's app — and expect the answer there too. Accommador brings those messages into your Conversations inbox and carries your replies back, so you answer everything from one place while the guest still sees it where they booked.
How it works
- A guest sends a message through the booking site.
- It arrives in your Conversations inbox, threaded under that guest, in a tab labelled for the site it came from.
- You reply from the inbox. The reply travels back through the site's own messaging, and the guest reads it in the app they're already using.
Each incoming message carries the booking reference, so when the same guest has more than one booking you always know which stay a message is about.
Why it matters
Without this, guest messages live in three different apps and get answered whenever someone remembers to check. With it, every guest conversation sits in one inbox, next to the bookings and everything else you do in Accommador — and nothing waits unseen in an app nobody opened today.
Switching it on or off
Guest messaging is on by default for each property. To switch a property off, open the Messaging page under Distribution → Channel Manager and turn the toggle off — messages simply stop flowing for that property, and you can turn it back on any time. The same page shows the setup status and a log of recent message activity, so you can confirm messages are moving.
Troubleshooting
A guest's message didn't appear in my inbox
Check the property's messaging toggle is on, then check the recent-activity log on the same page. Messages can only be threaded against bookings that exist in Accommador — an enquiry from someone who hasn't booked yet won't create a thread.
Does switching it off delete anything?
No. Turning the toggle off just stops new messages flowing for that property. Nothing already in your inbox is removed.
Which booking sites does this cover?
Messages flow for guests who booked through Airbnb, Booking.com and Expedia. Guests who booked directly with you are messaged through the check-in journey and your normal Conversations channels — see when guests get their check-in link.
