Collect ID securely
Ask guests to upload ID or a licence during check-in. Documents are stored privately, viewing is protected by a one-time code, and reviews happen on the Compliance page.
Where your property needs to sight ID — a passport, an ID card, a driver or boat licence — an ID step collects it during online check-in instead of holding up the desk. The guest photographs it once; you review it in your own time.
How guests provide ID
The guest takes a photo of the document with their phone camera, or uploads a file — photos or PDFs, up to five per step. For licence checks you can also allow a "no licence" declaration: the guest declares they don't hold one instead of uploading, with your own conditions and wording shown alongside.
Protected before it's even collected
ID steps don't open until the guest proves it's really them. A one-time code goes to the phone or email on the booking, and the step stays closed — for reading and for uploading — until the code is entered. A forwarded link can never reach another guest's documents, and the same one-time code protection applies whenever a guest views their own uploads later.
Your review
Uploads wait for your approval. On Guests → Compliance, the review queue shows each pending document with an inline preview — approve it, or reject it with a reason. A rejected upload automatically messages the guest asking for a better one, and the re-upload comes back to your queue with the original kept on record. You can also see a guest's uploads at a glance from their booking's page, with a link into the queue while any are still pending.
Registration records
Alongside ID capture, a registration-card step collects a digital registration card — per person where the jurisdiction requires it — signed by the lead guest, with a drawn signature where required. The records live on Guests → Compliance with export to CSV, so your register is always ready to produce. No card numbers are ever stored anywhere in these records.
Stored securely
ID documents go into private storage that is never publicly reachable — there is no link that works without being signed in or being the verified guest. Documents are only ever shown to users at your property and to the guest who uploaded them.
Troubleshooting
Can guests see each other's documents?
No. A guest can only ever open documents from their own booking, and only after entering the one-time code sent to the contact details on that booking.
What happens to the step while I review?
The step shows as submitted until you approve or reject. Approving the last pending document completes the step; rejecting one reopens it so the guest can resubmit.
