House rules and signed terms

A document step puts your terms in front of the guest — house rules, a hire agreement, whatever your property needs signed — and collects the signature on their phone, days before arrival instead of at the desk with a queue behind them.

How guests sign

The guest opens the step, reads the document, and signs by typing their full name. That's a real record: Accommador keeps the exact wording they saw together with the typed name and the time of signing, permanently. You can review the signed record from the booking's page whenever you need it.

Guests get their copy

Once a document is signed, the guest can ask for their signed copy from their check-in page — it arrives as a link by text, or attached as a PDF by email. The confirmation guests receive when check-in completes includes a link to the signed document too.

Editing your documents

Your documents live on Guests → Guest Journey, in the documents section. Edit the title and content, check the live preview — styled exactly as guests will see it — and publish. Each publish creates a new version, and versions behave carefully:

• Records already signed are untouched. They keep the wording that was actually signed, forever.
• A guest who opened an older version just before you published is asked to review the latest wording before their signature is accepted.

Timing and requirements

Document steps are usually required, and often gated: the starter flows open them 72 hours before arrival, once the guest has confirmed their details. Both the timing and whether signing is compulsory are yours to change in the flow editor — see edit your check-in flow.

Troubleshooting

I updated my terms — do past guests need to re-sign?

No. A signed record always keeps the version that was signed. Only guests who haven't signed yet see the new wording.

Is a typed name really a signature?

The record keeps more than the name: the exact document wording, the signer's typed name and the time, all stored together as a permanent signed instance. For registration cards in jurisdictions that require it, a drawn signature is captured as well — see collect ID securely.
