The bookings calendar at a glance

The bookings calendar under Bookings is the screen most operators keep open all day. Your rooms run down the left-hand side, the days run across the top, and every booking sits as a bar on its room's row. One glance tells you who is in, who is arriving, and what is still free to sell.

Reading the calendar

Bookings are colour-coded by status, so you can tell at a glance which are on hold, confirmed, checked in, checked out, or cancelled. A booking that has arrived from one of your booking sites, from your own booking page, or that you entered by hand all look the same here — one calendar, everything on it.

Bookings that have not yet been placed in a specific room sit in an Unassigned lane under their room type. You can drag them onto a room whenever suits, or let Accommador place them automatically.

Two ways to view it

The calendar view selector switches between two layouts:

• Grouped — rooms are grouped under their room type, each group with its Unassigned lane. Best when you think in room types.
• Rooms only — a flat list of your actual rooms. If any bookings are still unassigned, a banner tells you how many, so nothing hides.

Your choice is remembered, so the calendar opens the way you like it.

The room-readiness dot

Each room's row carries a small coloured dot showing whether the room is clean, being cleaned, dirty, or out of order. Hover to see when it was last cleaned; click it to change the status. It means you can sell tonight's rooms without ringing the cleaner — the full story is in room readiness.

It remembers where you were

Open a booking, take a phone call, come back — the calendar reopens on the same dates and the same view you left, per property. The today button recentres you in one click, and a brand-new browser session starts fresh around today, so you never land on a weeks-old window by surprise.

Doing things from the calendar

• Drag across free nights to start a new booking with the dates and room already filled in.
• Drag a booking to another room or other dates.
• Click a booking to open its details, payments, and history — see everything on a booking's page.
