Create a booking by dragging on the calendar
Drag across free nights on a room's row and the booking form opens with the dates, room type and room already filled in. Add the guest, and you're done.
The fastest way to take a booking while you are looking at the calendar is to draw it straight on. You have already spotted the free room and the free nights — dragging across them saves retyping the values you just pointed at.
How to do it
- Open Bookings and find the room you have in mind.
- Click on the first free night on that room's row and drag across to the last night of the stay.
- The booking form opens with the arrival and departure dates, the room type, and that specific room already filled in.
- Add the guest's details and confirm the price, then finish the form as you would for any direct booking.
The new booking appears on the calendar straight away, and those nights come off sale on your booking page and on every connected booking site — nothing else to do.
Dragging on the Unassigned lane
You can also drag across the Unassigned lane under a room type. The form opens with the dates and the room type filled in, but no specific room — useful when you know what kind of room the guest wants but do not care which one yet. If automatic room assignment is switched on, Accommador will pick a free room for you when the booking is created; otherwise the booking sits in the Unassigned lane until you drag it onto a room.
Troubleshooting
The drag won't start, or nothing happens
You can only drag across empty cells. If a booking already sits on part of the stretch you want, those nights are taken — pick another room, or check whether the existing booking can move.
The dates in the form aren't quite right
The form is editable — the drag just pre-fills it. Adjust the dates on the first step before you go on; the price follows the dates you finally choose, not the drag.
