Change a booking's dates, rooms or price
Guests change their plans. Amend the dates, room or price on the existing booking — availability updates everywhere and every change is recorded.
A guest wants one more night, a different room, or you have agreed a better rate. Amend the existing booking rather than cancelling and starting again — the booking keeps its reference, its payments and its history, and every place that shows availability is updated for you.
Dates and rooms
The quickest way is on the calendar: drag the booking sideways to shift its dates, drag its end to extend or shorten the stay, or drag it onto another room. You can also edit the stay's dates and occupancy from the booking's page.
Either way, Accommador first checks the nights you are moving onto are actually free — if they are not, the change is refused and nothing happens, so an amendment can never create a double-booking. Once a change lands, the freed nights go back on sale and the newly used nights come off sale, on your booking page and across your connected booking sites, automatically.
Changing the price
To change what the stay costs, edit the booking's accommodation total on its page. Accommador then flows that total down to the room-level prices underneath, so every figure on the booking agrees with every other. That agreement matters more than it looks: the guest's invoice, their statement, and the payment records are all built from these figures, and check-out verifies they add up before any invoice is raised — see check-out and the balance.
A couple of boundaries to know:
- The price editor is for single-room bookings you took directly. A booking that arrived from a booking site keeps the price the site charged the guest — that money has already been agreed (and often taken) on the site's side.
- Changing the price changes what the stay costs. If you simply want the guest to owe less because money has been received, that belongs on the payments side — record the payment, don't lower the price.
Everything is on the record
Every amendment is written to the booking's History tab field by field — "Check-in date changed from 1 June to 3 June", who made it, and when. If a guest ever disputes what was agreed, the answer is one tab away.
Troubleshooting
The change was refused — "room not available"
The nights you asked for are genuinely taken. Check the calendar for those dates: another booking or a room block is in the way. Free the clash first, or choose different nights or another room.
