Undo a check-in, check-out or no-show
Clicked the wrong booking, or the guest turned up after all? Undo the status safely — with clear guided steps when an invoice is involved.
Wrong booking clicked, or the "no-show" walked in at midnight. Statuses can be undone — deliberately, with a reason, and with checks that make sure undoing one never quietly breaks your accounts.
What can be undone
- Undo check-in — the booking returns to confirmed.
- Undo no-show — back to confirmed, ready to check the guest in.
- Undo check-out — back to checked in.
A cancellation cannot be undone: cancelling put the nights back on sale, and by now someone else may have bought them. If a cancelled guest is coming after all, take a fresh booking — the calendar will tell you honestly whether the nights are still free.
How it works
- Open the booking. On a checked-in, no-show or checked-out booking you'll see the matching undo action.
- Click it. Accommador first checks whether the undo is safe to run.
- If all is clear, type the reason — it is required — and confirm.
- The status reverses, and the undo is recorded in the History tab with your reason.
Undoing a check-in is always the simple case: checking in never touched any money, so there is nothing to unwind.
When Xero is involved
Undoing a check-out — or a no-show that raised a cancellation charge — affects a real invoice in your accounts. Accommador never deletes or voids anything in Xero itself. Instead, it blocks the undo and hands you the exact work order: the payments to remove, the prepayments to un-allocate, and the invoice to void, in the right order, each with a link straight to it in Xero.
Do that work in Xero, come back, and click Re-check. Accommador verifies with Xero directly that the invoice really is voided — only then does the undo proceed. It is a little more ceremony than one click, but it means an undo can never silently destroy an accounting record: you see, and perform, every accounting change yourself.
Built-in safety
If the booking changed under you between opening the dialog and confirming — usually your own double-click — the undo refuses and tells you, rather than applying twice. And because an undo only moves a booking between occupied states, it never changes availability: no nights appear or disappear from sale.
Troubleshooting
The undo button isn't there
Only checked-in, no-show and checked-out bookings offer an undo. Confirmed bookings have nothing to undo, and cancellations are permanent as above.
