Text or email a payment link
Create a payment link on the booking, text or email it, and the guest pays on their phone. The payment lands on the booking by itself.
The fastest way to get paid is a link. Create it on the booking, text or email it to the guest, and they pay on their phone in under a minute. The payment lands on the booking by itself — nothing to enter, nothing to chase.
Create and send a link
- Open the booking and go to its Payments tab.
- Click Request Payment and enter the amount — a deposit, the balance, whatever you're collecting.
- Copy the link and send it by text or email, or open it yourself if the guest is with you.
What the guest sees
The link opens a secure card payment page run by your gateway — card details never pass through Accommador. After paying, the guest lands on a simple thank-you page confirming their name, dates and the amount, with no login and nothing else asked of them. If the booking was made on your own booking page, they land back on its confirmation page instead, so the experience matches where they started.
Taking the payment yourself over the phone? Tick "I'm taking the payment now" when you create the link, and after the card goes through you're returned to the booking rather than the guest page.
What happens on the booking
The moment the guest pays, the payment appears on the Payments tab and the balance owing drops. It flows through to Xero automatically within a few minutes. An unpaid link records nothing — the balance only moves when money actually does.
Troubleshooting
The guest paid but their page says it's still confirming
Confirmation can lag the card by a moment while the gateway reports back. The thank-you page and the booking both update as soon as the payment is confirmed — usually seconds.
Can the guest pay without me sending anything?
Yes — guests can pay their balance any time from their own link, without waiting for you. See let guests pay whenever they like.
