Cards, payment links, security bonds, refunds and vouchers.
Get set up
- Connect Stripe or PayDollarConnect a card gateway and get paid before guests arrive — payment links, deposits on your booking page and card-held bonds, with card details never touching Accommador.
- Choose which gateway does which jobRun Stripe and PayDollar side by side and pick which one takes ordinary charges and which holds security bonds. Refunds always follow the gateway that took the payment.
Taking payments
- The Payments tab: every dollar on the bookingEvery payment, refund and hold on a booking in one tab, with the live balance owing — plus the property-wide ledger under Accounting → Payments.
- Text or email a payment linkCreate a payment link on the booking, text or email it, and the guest pays on their phone. The payment lands on the booking by itself.
- Record cash, card-machine and bank-transfer paymentsCash, card machine and bank transfer payments happen outside Accommador — record them on the booking so the balance is right and Xero files them correctly.
- Let guests pay whenever they likeGuests can pay their balance — or part of it — any time from their own link, with no double charges and no phone call to you.
Security bonds
- Hold a security bond on the guest's cardA bond reserves money on the guest's card without charging it. Set one amount for the property or a different bond per room type.
- Bond outcomes: release it, take part, or extendAfter checkout: release the bond untouched, capture just what broke, or keep it alive for a long stay — and what PayDollar's fixed 14-day window means.
Refunds & cancellations
- Refund a paymentMoney goes back the way it came: card refunds return via the same gateway, manual payments are recorded as refunded. Partial refunds included.
- Keep a cancellation chargeKeep some or all of a cancelled booking's money as a cancellation charge, properly invoiced in Xero — the amount follows your refunds automatically.
- Void a prepayment recorded by mistakeVoid a manual payment recorded by mistake: the record stays, the balance corrects, and Xero is squared away. Card payments refund instead.
Vouchers
- Vouchers: issue, redeem and trackIssue dollar-value vouchers and collect the money on the spot or by payment link, redeem them against bookings as real payments, and track every remaining balance.
- Turn a cancelled booking's money into a voucherInstead of refunding a cancelled booking, convert the money you hold into a voucher — the guest keeps full value for a future stay and you keep the revenue.
