Add your staff

Add the people who do the work, set what their time costs, and hand them portal access with a secure link and a one-time code — no passwords to manage.

Your cleaner doesn't need a login, a password, or a seat at the desk — they need their list. Operations → Staff is where you add the people who do the work and hand each of them phone access to it.

Add a person

  1. Open Operations → Staff and add a new staff member.
  2. Enter their name, mobile and email. The mobile matters most — it's where their sign-in codes go.
  3. Set their hourly rate if you want job costs tracked: it's what their time costs you, used to cost the minutes they log against jobs. Staff never see this number.
  4. Choose what work they do — the default is everything. See choose what work each person sees.

Portal access — a link and a code, no passwords

Each person gets their own secure link to the staff portal. From their row, create their portal link: Accommador sends it to them, and shows it to you as well, so you can pass it on however you like if it didn't arrive. The first time they open it — and occasionally after — they confirm it's them with a six-digit code sent by text, or by email when there's no mobile on file.

That's the whole of it. Nothing to remember, nothing to reset, no "I forgot my password" on changeover morning. A link lasts about six months; issue a fresh one whenever you need to.

Prices are your call

By default a staff member sees no prices anywhere — they log hours and count quantities, and the money is worked out on your side. For someone who genuinely quotes — a maintenance contractor pricing a repair — you can switch pricing on for that one person. See bill work to guests or owners.

When someone leaves

Deactivate them on their row: their portal access stops working immediately, and their name stays on all the work they did — history is never rewritten. You can also revoke someone's links at any time, which cuts off every outstanding link and signed-in phone for that person at once — useful when a phone is lost.

Troubleshooting

Do staff need an Accommador user account?

No. Staff and users are different things: staff do the work and use the phone portal; users sign in to Accommador itself. Someone who does both — a manager who also cleans — can be set up as both. For logins to the app itself, see invite your team.

The sign-in code isn't arriving

Codes go to the mobile on file, or the email when there's no mobile. Check the person's contact details on Operations → Staff are current, then have them request a new code. Codes are short-lived and only the most recent one works.
