Completed work, kept forever

Every finished job keeps its story: what was done, when, by whom, what it cost, and every step along the way. Operations → History is where you browse it — this month's cleans, one contractor's work over winter, or the trail of a single job someone asked about.

Finding the work

History shows one property at a time (switch properties at the top of the app) and opens on the last 30 days of completed work. Narrow it down with:

• Search — free text over the job's name and notes.
• Status — completed, cancelled, or both.
• Category and type — just housekeeping, or just one job type like Turnover Clean.
• Person — everything one staff member finished.
• Finished between — any date range you like.

The table shows when each job finished, what it was, its room, who did it, what it cost and its status — newest first, with a count of how many matched and a button to load more.

The full story of one job

Open any row to see the job's notes, its cost lines with a total, and the audit trail: created, claimed, started, completed, billed — each step stamped with who did it and when. Work your team completes from their phones is recorded under their own name, so "who did that Thursday clean?" has an answer months later.

Why cancelled jobs still show

Cancelled work stays on the record deliberately. A clean cancelled because its booking was cancelled, or a job you decided against, is part of what happened — and an honest record beats a tidy one. When a question comes months later, you can see not just what was done but what was planned and called off, and when. If you only want finished work, leave the status filter on completed — that's the default.

The money side

The costs you see here — hours worked, parts — are the same numbers that feed job billing and your reports: task costs, cost per occupied room and cost per clean all build from completed work. See bill work to guests or owners and the reports library. Your staff have their own view of their completed work in the staff portal, so "did I already do that job?" doesn't have to come through you.
